Army chief, Pakistani ambassador discuss military cooperation

Amman, April 5 (Petra) – Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Maj. Gen. Yousef Ahmed Huneiti, on Sunday discussed aspects of joint cooperation and coordination with the Pakistani Ambassador to Jordan, Khurram Sarfraz Khan.
During a meeting held at the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF)– Arab Army, the two sides also went over ways to enhance bilateral relations to serve common interests, particularly in the military and training fields and expertise exchange.
In the presence of a number of senior JAF officers and the Pakistani military attaché in Amman, Huneiti affirmed the JAF's "commitment" to strengthening cooperation with Pakistani counterparts, praising the "advanced" level that bilateral relations have reached and their continuous development in various fields.
For his part, the Pakistani ambassador expressed his appreciation for Jordan's role under His Majesty King Abdullah II's leadership.
The diplomat also praised the JAF's role in consolidating security and stability in the region, stressing his country’s desire to strengthen cooperation ties with the Kingdom to achieve common interests.
